Sortino Ratio

The Sortino Ratio measures risk-adjusted return by dividing excess return over a minimum acceptable return by the downside deviation — the volatility of negative returns only. Unlike the Sharpe ratio, it does not penalize upside volatility, making it a fairer gauge for strategies with asymmetric return distributions.
