Calmar Ratio

The Calmar Ratio is a risk-adjusted performance measure: annualized return divided by maximum drawdown. A higher value means more return per unit of the worst historical loss — above 1.0 is generally considered solid, above 3.0 excellent. It was devised in 1991 by Terry W. Young.
