Editorial team

Behind every article on forex-basics.com there is a specific person — with a first name, a last name, a professional history. No anonymous "expert teams", no ghostwriters. Below you will find the full biographies.

Jarosław Wasiński · editor-in-chief and lead author

Jarosław Wasiński has been running the MyBank.pl portal since 2004 — more than two decades. Over that time he has written and published several thousand articles about the Polish financial sector — from mortgages, through personal accounts, deposits, investment funds, all the way to the Forex market, which he has been covering since 2007.

He has been analysing the Forex market continuously since 2007 — tracking central-bank decisions, macroeconomic data, BIS and ESMA reports, and regulatory shifts in Poland and across the European Union. Over more than two decades of running a financial portal he has followed the Polish financial sector from the practical side: watched Polish brokers emerge and fail, lived through MiFID II, the 1:30 leverage cap from KNF and ESMA, and successive versions of the PIT-38 tax form. That gives him a perspective on Forex you cannot acquire from textbooks alone.

He writes in Polish — from a Polish perspective. When he covers PIT-38 (the Polish tax form for capital gains), he writes for a Polish taxpayer filing with a Polish tax office, not for a UK trader with a UK broker. When he reviews Polish brokers (XTB, mForex, BOSSA), he writes from the perspective of a client who knows the Polish market and Polish regulation inside out.

Subject-matter reviewers · current status

In our target editorial model every YMYL article will have a subject-matter reviewer — ideally a CFA charterholder, a licensed investment adviser or a person with equivalent qualifications. The reviewer reads the article before publication and confirms that the content is correct on the merits — their name appears in the article header next to the publication date.

At present the reviewer field in our articles remains empty (`reviewer => null` in the meta database). We are working on collaborations with CFA charterholders and with licensed investment advisers. The first reviewer will be announced on this page, and their name will appear in the headers of relevant articles.

Editorial board

The editorial board will play an advisory role — with no direct influence on individual publications, but with the right to approve annual editorial directions. The board is currently being assembled.
