B-book
B-book is an order-handling model in which the broker does not pass a client's trade to the market but keeps it on its own book, becoming the counterparty to the position. This creates a conflict of interest — the client's loss can be the broker's gain — which contrasts with the A-book model, where orders are routed to liquidity providers.
