Position Sizing

Position sizing is deciding how many lots to trade so that the loss, if your stop-loss is hit, stays within a fixed percentage of your account. The common rule is risking at most 1% per trade; the size follows from the stop distance and the pip value. It is the core of risk control, protecting the account through losing streaks.
