Hedge funds in forex

Hedge funds are private investment funds that pool capital from wealthy clients and institutions to run aggressive strategies, including leveraged currency speculation and short selling. In forex they are among the most influential players: their large, concentrated positions (e.g. global macro) can set the tone of trends and amplify moves in currency pairs.
