Rollover (position renewal)

Rollover is the automatic carrying of an open currency position to the next settlement date when you hold it past the daily session close. Because spot trades settle in T+2, the broker rolls the value date forward one day and applies a swap based on the interest-rate difference between the two currencies, which either credits or debits your account.
