Last look

Last look is a practice in electronic trading where a liquidity provider (a bank or market maker) takes a short window — typically a few to a few dozen milliseconds — after receiving your order to make a final price check and decide whether to accept or reject the trade. It means the quote is effectively an invitation rather than a binding offer, so your order can be rejected or requoted even at a displayed price.
