Requote

A requote happens when a broker, instead of filling your order at the price shown on screen, offers a new price for you to accept or reject — usually during fast moves or thin liquidity. Unlike slippage, where the order fills automatically at a changed price, a requote requires you to actively confirm the new quote. It is characteristic of Market Maker (dealing desk) brokers.
