KNF Regulation
Scope: Poland
KNF is Poland's financial supervision commission, supported by the UKNF office. Registers establish a particular firm's status and permissions. A notified foreign investment firm differs from a Polish brokerage house; CFD requirements also depend on client class, including experienced-retail status.
Illustrative example
How does it work in practice?
Suppose a fictional advertisement displays the KNF logo next to a platform brand. For services in Poland, check the provider's full legal name, status and permissions in the appropriate register; the logo does not replace this check.
A case to work through
Two register categories
Model: A appears among Polish brokerage houses and B among notified foreign investment firms.
- Do not describe both entries identically as Polish licenses.
- Check B’s entry category, services and home-state regulator.
What follows? Record its full name and exact legal status.
Example boundary: These fictional entries guarantee neither performance nor every service’s safety.
A useful distinction
KNF Regulation / CySEC Regulation
CySEC can supervise a Cyprus entity at home; its KNF entry needs a separate Polish-status assessment.
