ECN broker
An ECN broker (Electronic Communication Network) routes orders directly to a pool of liquidity providers — banks, funds and other traders — instead of taking the opposite side of your trade like a market maker. It offers raw, often very tight spreads (sometimes zero) but charges a separate per-volume commission, so the true cost is spread plus commission.
