European Central Bank (ECB)

The European Central Bank (ECB) is the central bank of the euro area, responsible for monetary policy across the countries that use the euro. Its Governing Council sets key interest rates (such as the deposit facility rate), and ECB rate decisions, statements and press conferences are among the strongest drivers of EUR moves on the forex market.
