Divergence
Divergence is a mismatch between price action and an oscillator reading (usually RSI or MACD): price makes a new high or low, but the indicator fails to confirm it. Regular divergence warns of a trend reversal, while hidden divergence signals continuation. It is one of the stronger reversal cues, but it needs confirmation since it can persist long before price reacts.
