Islamic account (swap-free)

An Islamic account (swap-free) is a trading account on which the broker neither charges nor pays a swap point for holding a position overnight. It exists to satisfy the Sharia-law prohibition of riba (predetermined interest on capital), so the swap mechanism is switched off. Brokers usually recover the lost revenue through a flat administration fee per lot per night, a wider spread, or a narrower instrument list.
