Dot Plot (Fed Funds Rate Projections)
The Dot Plot is a chart the Fed publishes quarterly (within the Summary of Economic Projections) in which each dot is one FOMC participant's forecast for the target federal funds rate at the end of the coming years and over the longer run. It signals where policymakers expect interest rates to head, so it strongly moves rate expectations and the dollar — though the dots are projections, not commitments.
