Shooting Star
A shooting star is a single candlestick with a small body near the low and a long upper shadow (at least twice the body length), with little or no lower shadow. Appearing at the top of an uptrend, it is a bearish signal: a failed push higher suggests buyers are running out of steam. It shares its shape with the inverted hammer, so location decides its meaning, and a confirming candle closing below the pattern's low is needed before entry.
