Retracement

A retracement is a temporary price move against the prevailing trend that is typically followed by a resumption of that trend. Traders gauge its depth using Fibonacci levels (38.2%, 50%, 61.8%), treating them as potential zones where the trend may resume. Unlike a reversal, a retracement corrects the trend rather than changing its direction.
