Pin Bar (Pinocchio Bar)

A pin bar (short for "Pinocchio bar") is a candle with one very long wick and a small body at the opposite end, signalling that price was pushed one way and sharply rejected. The classic criteria: wick at least 2–3× the body, body in the upper or lower third of the candle, and a close on the side opposite the wick. It is the strongest reversal candle only in the right place — at support/resistance and aligned with the higher-timeframe trend; in mid-range it is mostly noise.
